ABOUT THE PLATFORM

OUR PURPOSE

Salafi Summaries exists to make beneficial Islamic knowledge more accessible by providing structured, concise overviews of authentic and established Islamic works authored by recognized scholars upon the methodology of the Salaf (the righteous predecessors).

Note for Students: These summaries are intended only as an aid to revision and initial orientation. They are not a substitute for studying the complete books. Students should strive to follow the Sunnah and the methodology of the Salaf, and study the full works under the guidance of qualified scholars and teachers.

Giving primary importance to the Noble Qur'an and authentic Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

Understanding of the Salaf

Understanding texts through the lens of the early generations.

Established Works

Summarizing recognized, authentic classical and contemporary books of reliable scholars.

Preserving the Original

Selected material from the original work, presented concisely without commentary.

Accuracy & Clarity

Striving for precise, clear phrasing that simplifies complex topics while keeping vital concepts intact.

Encouraging Full Study

Consistently encouraging readers to return to the original source texts for complete study.

OUR PROCESS

HOW THE SUMMARIES ARE MADE

These summaries are made carefully from the original works of the scholars.

No AI is used to create the summaries.

No words, explanations, additions, or comments are added by us to the original works—not even a single letter. Everything contained in the summaries is taken from the original work of the scholar.

The material is simply reduced in size and arranged in a concise form to make it easier and shorter to read, while serving as an encouragement to read the complete work.

We do not intend these summaries to replace the original books or the detailed study of them. Rather, they are a means of helping the reader become familiar with the work and encouraging them to return to the source itself.

A PRINCIPLE OF KNOWLEDGE

A NOTE ON TAFSIR AND SPEAKING WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE

It is prohibited to indulge in tafsir by mere opinion.

Muḥammad ibn Jarīr reported that Ibn ʿAbbās said that the Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever explains the Qur'an with his opinion, or with what he has no knowledge of, then let him assume his seat in the Fire.”

Reported by at-Tirmidhī, an-Nasāʾī, and Abū Dāwūd. At-Tirmidhī said: Ḥasan.

The Salaf used to refrain from explaining what they had no knowledge of.

For this reason, we emphasize that these summaries are not independent explanations or interpretations of the scholars’ works. They are concise presentations made from the original material itself.

LANGUAGE & ACCURACY

TRANSLATIONS

The summaries are written in English.

AI is used only for translating the English summaries into other languages.

Although AI translation can be useful and accurate, it can still make major mistakes, particularly in matters where a single word can affect the meaning.

For this reason, if you notice any translation error or anything that appears inaccurate, please contact us urgently on Instagram at @salafiascription.

Accuracy in matters of the religion is a serious responsibility. We care about the details, even when the issue concerns a single word.
